Horrible taste July 26, 2010 Veronica C Demonte The taste was so horrible I could barely swallow. Maybe I'll try a different flavor but I don't want to get stuck with another box of horrible bars. The concept is great, wish the taste was better.
Convenient, but too much sugar/calories and cheaper options available. July 4, 2010 Publius-1776 (Washington, DC) Its primary ingredient is puffed wheat -- nothing magical, new, or revolutionary about that. For a fraction of the price, you can eat a bowl of generic puffed wheat cereal in low/non-fat milk or soy or almond milk with either no sugar or a sugar substitute like Splenda or stevia. Some full bar flavors have sugar and up to 170 calories.
I gave it two stars, because it is convenient, especially if you're in a rush or eating at work or on the road. In these cases it makes sense, but you're definitely paying a premium for the convenience. If time or convenience is not an issue, you're better off eating fresh fruit or a salad before your meal...
Similar to the apple diet July 2, 2010 Ray D. Ator (Seattle, WA) I tried the Fullbar and was not happy with the taste or the results. However, I found a similar diet called the apple diet and it works the same way:
1. Before each meal, eat an apple. It helps if you slice the apple into pieces.
2. Drink one 8 oz glass of water.
3. Eat your regular meal.
I tried the apple diet but got a little bored with the monotony of the apple. So I tried spreading a little peanut butter on each apple slice and that did the trick.
I have lost 5 lbs in my first month on the apple diet.
Disappointed June 7, 2010 Debbie Dobson (New Jersey) I was disappointed with the full bars...I followed the instructions and drank the recommended amount of water after eating one....within a 1/2 hour I was STARVING! won't purchase again.....
I like them, but different strokes for different folks May 29, 2010 Delores McCarter (Columbia, SC USA) I was skeptical about this but thought, "why not?" I bought the peanut butter, chocolate, and banana bread flavors. I also tried the cheese thingings. They are working for me. The first day, I had a large naval orange 30 minutes after my bar and I didn't want anything else to eat. Some people were saying that they taste terrible, well, I guess it depends on what people have been eating all along. I was already on the road to eat healthier and found that some of the processed food is either too salty, greasy, or full of fat. The fullbars were great. I would carry one in my bag and eat one on the way home with a large (16 oz or larger) cup of water. I don't have to use plates anymore. A saucer will do just fine. I only use fullbar for my dinner meals and I have lost 4 pounds since I started eating them a week ago. No more crazy cravings and outrageous appetite. In honor of Gary Coleman (rest his soul), there are different strokes for different folks and some plans won't appeal to everyone. So far, I am happy with my results. I haven't tried a bar that was gross yet, but peanut butter and chocolate deserve 5 stars in my book. Best of luck to you!
